Difficulties and Countermeasures of Track and Field Teaching in Colleges and Universities

Abstract

Objective: In university sports teaching process, track and field teaching was initially as a kind
of basic teaching items. However, people are not satisfied with single sports technological
learning as social makes progress; mostly they are inclined to learning fitness and entertainment
items. Thus, university track and field teaching suffer varieties of factors’ influences, more
emerging items’ development restricts in track and field development. Research method: In this
paper, literature consultation, comparative analysis and other methods are applied to deepen
research on dilemma of university track and field teaching. Research results: Main causes for
marginalized track and field are track and field event individual features, rapid development of
other events, changes in teaching physical environment and humanistic environment. Through
analyses of these causes, the paper supposes that countermeasure strategies should be put forward from the perspective of track and field teaching reform path, school resource integration
path, sports teacher and students’ knowledge updating
