Abstract

The experiments have been designed for the analysis of anaerobic digestion process of different organic wastes like pond sludge, egg, fish ,chicken, fruit pulp waste, mango, tomato pulp and cow urine, cow dung in continuous feed reactor using Design expert software-12. The optimum conditions have been obtained using the software. The experiments have been conducted on a test facility of continuous feed reactor developed at NIT, Kurukshetra. The values of input parameters have been maintained as suggested by the software. The optimum values of Cumulative Biogas, Cumulative Methane and Cumulative Carbon-dioxide have been obtained as 1363.4mL,995.5mLand 472.5 mL respectively. The desirability of 0.693 has been achieved for at least 50 numerical solutions. The optimum values of output parameters found to be in good agreement with the experimentally obtained values.
