Abstract

Wireless sensor networks (WSN's) offer noteworthy advantages in various appliances including surveillance, healthcare, environmental observation etc. IoT is a wide collection of devices that contains sensors connected together over wireless networks. With the speedy growth of IoT in past decades, security, and energy efficiency are considered as major issues during data transmission among sensors. This research work intends to introduce a new energy-efficient and secured routing protocol for WSN in IoT that integrates the security along with efficient energy utilization of nodes for transmitting data. Accordingly, the optimal route selection takes place with the consideration of constraints such as; node trust factor proposed Interference Ratio (IR), security risk probability, residual energy, and proposed delay constraint. For this, a new improved   algorithm   named   as Self-Adaptive   Lion   algorithm (SA-LA) is introduced. Lastly, the supremacy of the espoused scheme is validated over other existing approaches of varied metrics.
