Abstract

Precision agriculture (PA) is the science of art to improve crop yield and to support management via high technology sensors and analysis tools. PA is the application of technology to manage spatial and temporal unpredictability of inputs to improve productivity and environmental quality. Precision Agriculture is a practical approach that reduces the risk and variables in agriculture. The growth of technologies in the 21st century led to the development of the PA concept. Precision Agriculture is used for the efficient use of various inputs like effective use of fertilizer, seed, pesticide, fuel, land, data, and water. The agriculture and agricultural industry in a remote area can benefit from the WSN and cloud server-based vast network in the Internet of things. In this study, we present a modular WSN architecture for remote farming and agricultural monitoring and control utilizing IoT. Water resource and effective cultivation are two important managements in PAF. The performance of water irrigation may be evaluated by integrating wireless devices and the IoT. Internet of things is used in PAF to process the effective communication of numerous wireless sensors to boost farmer productivity. Throughput maximization, latency reduction, high SNR, minimum MSE, and increased coverage area were used to examine the WSN architecture. The proposed framework outperforms traditional IoT-based farming and agriculture, according to the findings of the experiments.
