SIMULATION ANALYSIS OF A HALF CAR MODEL WITH SKY-HOOK DAMPER USING MATLAB/SIMULINK
Abstract
The vibration of a vehicle's suspension system is very important for passenger comfort. In this study, a four-degree-of-freedom half-car with a semi-active suspension controller is defined for step input road to enhance passenger ride comfort and ensure continuous road and tyre contact. Half car vehicle performance of semi-active skyhook damper suspension system and passive suspension system is shown using MATLAB/Simulink simulation and the dynamic performance of step input road profiles was studied. Simulation results show that the sky hook damper performance is better than passive suspension system
