Abstract

The intend of the present study is to examine the effect of seismic load on industrial steel structure supported by crane load. To evaluate the seismic performance of the industrial structure, response at end of gantry girder is investigated by performing Equivalent Static,

Response spectrum and Time History Analysis methods.

Since the response of the framework affects the position of the loads in the crane and the location of the crane in the gantry girder, an analysis is performed taking into account the different positions of the crane girder in relation to the point of view. In this investigation it will be considered the worst position of a crane hook with a narrow path. Analysis results expected to show that when the crane is located in the target area the reduction is minimal and increases as the crane departs. Variation can occur when the crane is placed in viewing areas and beyond that the difference is minimal. Therefore, crane positions near adjacent spaces are not considered in the present study. Comparison of the results will be present and STAAD Pro is used for construction and analysis.
