Mechanical Behavior Analysis of Parabolic Arch Based on Shear Deformation under Gradient Temperature

Abstract

In this paper, the internal force of fixed parabolic arch under the action of linear gradient temperature field is analyzed theoretically after considering the influence of shear deformation, the effective centroid offset of arch section under the action of linear gradient temperature is derived. Based on the force method and energy method, the internal force analysis of fixed parabolic arch before instability under linear gradient temperature field is carried out, the influence of different gradient temperature, rise span ratio, slenderness ratio and shear deformation on the internal force of fixed parabolic arch is numerically analyzed. The results show that the gradient temperature and rise span ratio have significant influence on the internal force of parabolic arch. Moreover, the effect of shear deformation makes the bending moment increase and the axial force decrease, and the axial force of parabolic arch decreases with the increase of slenderness ratio.
