Factors Determining the Digital (Synchronous and Asynchronous) Learning Adoptability of Students during Pandemic: An Empirical Study

  • Dr. Priyanka Sehgal

Abstract

Pandemic has affected the whole education structure, especially the colleges and universities. It has introduced an entirely new phase of education i.e. E-learning. Learning that is supported with the electronic technology such as portals and online lectures for accessing the courses that are outside classrooms come under the domain of e-learning. A lot of studies have been done for assessing the courses that happen outside the physical classrooms. Sometimes, these are done LIVE and sometimes the lectures are recorded and uploaded on portals for students to refer to them later on. Also different variables which influence quality of the e-learning process like content of the course, administrative support, design of the course, characteristics of the instructor, social support, learner’s characteristics, technological support, etc. are also assessed. The quality of e-learning has also been assessed. Findings of these studies reveal that there’s a positive relation between set of different variables.
