A Three-Dimensional Business Process Management Framework for Service-Oriented Manufacturing

Abstract

Business Process Management (BPM) is a new generation of management methods proposed on the basis of workflow to promote organizational business collaboration. Most of the research on how to guide the implementation of corporate BPM starts from the established business status quo. This research has added new thinking about the business development trend of enterprises, that is, how enterprises should promote their BPM implementation in the era of Service-Oriented Manufacturing (SOM). By introducing a multi-dimensional framework, this research explored how to provide enterprises with a clear view of BPM implementation under the trend towards SOM, in the complex business environment where a large number of enterprises business is outsourced and partnerships are rapidly changing. This research has made theoretical contributions to the implementation strategy of BPM in the era of SOM, and the results also confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed framework.
