Elastoplastic Lubrication Analysis of Gas Turbine Bearings

Abstract

In order to reveal the effect of load on the elasto-plastic mixed lubrication performance of a gas turbine deep groove ball bearing, the contact between the rolling element and the inner raceway is transformed into a three-dimensional elasto-plastic contact problem according to the distribution of the real roughness peak of the bearing surface, and the elasto-plastic contact model of the bearing considering the surface roughness is established, The effect of contact load on the mixed lubrication performance of deep groove ball bearing is obtained. The numerical results show that the excessive contact load will concentrate the local pressure at both ends of the inner raceway width direction, and increase the amplitude of the inner raceway contact pressure, von Mises stress, residual stress and residual deformation, which will affect the overall service life of the bearing.
