Abstract

Grass gives beauty to the environment when properly managed. In today’s world, grass cutting is commonly donewith a manually operated device. There are issues limited to time use, labor intensiveness, and non-renewableenergy sources. As a result, a device willing to perform such tasks autonomously is required. This project aimed tocreate a lawnmower with built-in obstacle avoidance and route planning features. This lawnmower charges up withsolar energy through a photovoltaic screen, allowing the lawnmower to work reliably. The aim of this study was tocreate a lawnmower that could avoid obstacles and plan routes. This lawnmower starts charging with solar energythrough a photovoltaic screen, allowing the lawnmower to run around the clock. This lawnmower is indeed self-contained, but it can also be controlled with a smartphone. An Arduino Mega is programmed with instructions toachievethe goals.
