Abstract

It is necessary to consider recycling as one of the attracting solutions for rehabilitation of old flexible pavement. The roads network in Iraq deteriorated rapidly during the last few decades due to the lack of efficient pavement management system and poor maintenance. Pavements are significant resources of urban infra-structure. Maintenance and rehabilitation of these pavements to the ideal degree of functionality is one of the difficult issues looked by pavement engineers. The measurement of surface efficiency utilizing the state of the pavement is an integral aspect of every Pavement Maintenance program. In this paper the writer used the most current approaches i.e. PMS which can very well be enhanced with new highlights & utility to carry out the activities of the executives of the pavement and to render guides of the pavement situation by using the regional data system is a tool used to aid pavement management decisions, pavement deterioration due to traffic and environment, and to recommend ground maintenance and repair. It speaks of a comparable attempt to create a standardized average pavement quality ranking for the preferred network of Iraq City Roads (Kirkuk to Erbil Highway). The strategy incorporates the recognizable proof of urban road areas, pavement trouble information assortment, Pavement condition Distress, Quality control research lastly developing Overall Pavement Condition Ratings (OPCR).
