Effectiveness Model of College English Translation Teaching Based on Parallel Corpus and CAT Software

Abstract

English translation teaching has long been the key part in college English education and been gradually improving in teaching quality. Especially with the wide application of the parallel corpus and CAT software technology, the teaching effect of college English translation has been further promoted. However, for the wide application of multiple technologies, the teaching effectiveness evaluation is unable to be performed directly, so most universities and teachers cannot accurately measure the true role of parallel corpora and CAT software in English translation, which severely limits the promotion of parallel corpora and CAT software. Therefore, in light of the technical characteristics and functions of the parallel corpora and CAT software, this study designed the college English translation teaching effectiveness model based on parallel corpora and CAT software in order to provide a favourable evaluation condition for the application of such technologies and support the further optimization and development of college English translation Teaching.
