Analysis of The Influence of Social Security Expenditure on Rural Residents' Consumption: A Cases from China

Abstract

As a mostly agricultural country, rural residents' consumption capacity plays a vital role in the national economy's growth in China. A social security system is a crucial factor affecting rural consumption. Based on the China Statistical Yearbook, this article analysis the annual per capita social security income level and consumption expenditure level of rural residents from 2003 to 2019and analysis the relationship between social security expenditures and rural residents' consumption. Some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to make rural social security mechanisms more perfect for improving rural residents' consumption level.
