Synthesize of CdS and CdS:V Films via Spray Pyrolysis Technique: Morphology and Optical Properties
Abstract
Cadmium sulfide (CdS) and Vanadium (V) incorporated CdS: V (0, 1, 3 at.%) films were prepared via a low cost spray pyrolysis technique. XRD offer a dominant peak along (111). The Grain size for CdS molecule was about (11.55-13.22) nm with CdS: 4% V, though the strain(%) boundary diminishes from 75.61 to 57.21. AFM was employed to obtain film topography. The grain size values were observed in the zone of (108.05), (106.95) and (102.08) nm for the (CdS, CdS:2% V, CdS: 4% V) respectively. UV/VIS (300-900) nm spectrophotometry techniques were employed to obtain optical properties. Band gaps of CdS and CdS:V films were identified using optical method as 2.43 eV, 2.38 eV and 2.33 eV, respectively.
