Abstract

Based on China's colleges and universities themselves, this paper defines the existing mode and dual identity of social responsibility of colleges and universities, and then defines the connotation of social responsibility of colleges and universities. Based on the analysis of 262 articles published in CSSCI journals of CNKI in recent 20 years, this paper reviews the social responsibility evaluation index system of colleges and universities in China from the perspective of the overall research trend, content distribution and characteristics. It is found that the lack of the evaluation index system of social responsibility is very unfavorable to the rational development of modern universities in China. The nature of higher education's social responsibility is a moral rational responsibility and a self accountability. This paper uses questionnaire, brainstorming and expert opinion to verify the evaluation index system of social responsibility in Colleges and universities. On the basis of verification, this paper constructs a formal university social responsibility evaluation index system and discusses its application, which is also the main purpose of this paper. Finally, combined with the shortcomings of the social responsibility evaluation index system of colleges and universities, the author puts forward relevant suggestions from the research content, research methods and research perspective..
