Indoor Public Activity Space Design of Elderly Care Facilities Based on Internet of Things Technology

Abstract

Public activity space is an important part of pension facilities, which is to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly and meet their communication needs. However, at this stage, the design attention of public activity space is still low compared with residential units. There are some problems in the design practice, such as the lack of fine and aging design, poor indoor environment design, unreasonable area ratio, function configuration and organization streamline. Based on this, this paper studies the public space of pension facilities based on the Internet of things technology. First of all, through the field research of domestic pension facilities, we found the current situation and problems of the use of all kinds of public activity space. Then, the questionnaire related to pension facilities is distributed and sorted out, and the elderly in the facilities are followed up. This paper studies the physical and mental characteristics of the elderly in the facilities, analyzes and summarizes the behavior characteristics of the elderly and the use characteristics of public activity space, and understands the use needs of the elderly for public activity space. Finally, on the basis of the above research, this paper classifies the public activity space, and discusses the design points of public activity space from the aspects of furniture configuration, common space forms and interior design. The organization form, characteristics, location and streamline relationship of various functional spaces are studied. From the aspects of style, color, material, physical environment and other environment, this paper summarizes the interior environment design method of public activity space based on Internet of things technology.
