An Integrated Approach to Achieving the Efficiency of Services in the Light of Urban Development Plans

Abstract

The efficiency of service performance was affected by several factors according to social and economic interactions, which led to the adoption of urban development plans, which had a tangible effect in our present time, as services are considered the heart for a person if he is healthy, the body is healthy and able to perform his duties to the fullest, therefore this research aims to study the relationship between the efficiency of service performance and urban development plans, and to achieve this, two basic possibilities have been assumed, which are the assumption that there is no relationship between the efficiency of the performance of service centers and urban development plans and this possibility is called the null hypothesis, the second possibility is the assumption of a relationship or change between them and this possibility is called the alternative hypothesis.

The procedures used in the research are represented in several axes concerned in its approach to the integration among the inductive approach, the deductive analytical approach and the applied approach, in an integrative framework among three main research sectors:-

• The First Sector: Is concerned with shedding light on some of the concepts and terms of the study and reviewing some previous studies and global experiences related to the research points, which aim to conclude some criteria, which can be used in the form of an integrated approach to achieve the efficiency of services in line with urban development plans by analyzing strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats to previous studies.
• The Second Sector: It is concerned with formulating the indicators used in the proposed approach to achieve efficiency; the indicators were classified into groups according to the type of each indicator.
• The Third Sector: It reviews the methods and procedures used to implement the approach followed for the efficiency of the performance of service centers, and through this study it was possible to reach several results, the most important of which is that the efficiency of services has a positive relationship with the urban development plans. The study concluded with the adoption of several recommendations, the most important of which is the study of all criteria and technical standards for services as an integral element and work to achieve them, and the need to work to activate decentralization of development and effective strategic management in addition to raising technical competence and promoting capabilities and skills of officials in the departments concerned with development at the local level with building confidence for the local community, which supports and increases the success of development in a way that is beneficial to the community, and finally, the various evaluation processes are conducted continuously at specific intervals to find out the deficiencies in the development sectors and how to avoid them and develop a vision to solve them early.
