The Enlightenment of American STC Concept on Rural Vocational Education to Promote Rural Revitalization

Abstract

Rural revitalization, as one of the seven strategies put forward by the Party at the 19th National Congress, plays a very positive role in promoting the economic development of China's rural areas and improving the living standards of farmers. Rural revitalization strategy provides a new opportunity for the smooth development of supply-side reform of rural vocational education in China, and also provides a new impetus for the development of rural vocational education. Rural vocational education is an important basic project to achieve strong agriculture, beautiful countryside and rich farmers, and provides intellectual support for rural economic and social development. For most people in China, it is difficult to popularize the national vocational education to some extent, and the American STC(School to Career) education concept can provide some reference for popularizing the national vocational education in China. Combining with the American STC vocational education concept, this paper analyzes the challenges and countermeasures of rural vocational education development under the background of rural revitalization, hoping to promote the vigorous and orderly development of rural vocational education in China in the future.
