Research on Ideology Teaching of College English Course Based on Blended Teaching

Abstract

College English course has many credits, long span, wide coverage and great influence, and has the dual nature of instrumentality and humanity. Under the background of curriculum ideology reform, college English, as a basic course with large quantity and wide range, bears the heavy responsibility of educating people. Contemporary college students have new characteristics different from the past in both ideological cognition and learning approaches. Fully understand the core content of “curriculum thought”, use new media and information technology to promote ideology work, enhance the affinity with the times, meet the needs and expectations of students' growth and development, and improve work efficiency. Ideology education has become a proposition of the times. This paper discusses the concept of Student-centered College English curriculum based on blended education, and constructs a blended education model of College English curriculum concept. It aims to improve the composition level of College English “curriculum thinking” course, improve the inclusive level of college students, and pave the way for the all-round development in the future.
