Effective Fruit Fly Algorithm for Reducing Energy Consumption in Wireless Sensor Network Using Multiple Mobile Sink

Abstract

Internet of things IOT architecture is totally depend on firm base that is wireless sensor network. Sensor network also play a vital role in processing of big chunks of data for Metro Smart Cities. In this scenario when the world is moving smartly towards sensors, energy consumption of sensor nodes is again big question to answer. To save battery power and use energy efficiently is the requirement of today. A new technique that uses effective fruit fly algorithm is proposed, which will route the data via effective path by using fitness function. It helps in reducing energy consumption at the same time it effectively reduce delay in the network. Network lifetime is increased and improved. The results are compared and analyzed with various routing approaches which are widely used .Average consumption of energy in the network is significantly reduced and network lifetime is improved.
