Are We Job Ready? A Study on the Transition from Campus to Corporate through an Effective Onboarding Boot Camp towards Building Future Ready Workforce in a Commercial Vehicle Organanisation

Abstract

Commercial vehicle organisations give prime focus to people development for harnessing potential towards business growth. In this regard, lot of importance has been given to on boarding boot camp for freshers for developing them from foot soldiers responsible for the day to day operations to leadership levels taking care of businesses / domains and framing strategies. This forms the major talent pipeline for the organization. Curriculum is prepared and reviewed in terms of relevance to business, client needs and competency framework of the organization. Also, a review of the current curriculum was done keeping in mind the profile pattern, deployment plan, look & feel and expectations of a GenNext executive without considering constraints encountered currently. Various methodologies which would enhance training effectiveness were captured for implementation. Benchmarking has been done so that the best in class have been taken into consideration.
