Abstract

In this research work, diode bridge rectifier based DC-DC converter configuration used for medical field applications such as medical isolation system. The modified DC-DC converter provides low leakage current and short circuit protection. In this converters with diode bridge rectifier have high power factor and high efficiency. This paper discuss about more efficient and add the diode bridge rectifier and directly apply through AC supply voltage to the DC to get an output voltage to maintained at high for power quality improvement. The modified converter is operating in discontinuous conduction mode. This system model used for small and medium-sized household applications and the output current ripple is reduced. The proposed work used MATLAB Simulink software to simulate a PI controller. The input current harmonics within the range meet are reduced to 5% using this topology and high power factor, for some variations in input voltage and sudden change in load variations.
