Creation of Watercolor Painting based on Minority Subjects

Abstract

Chinese minority paintings are a kind of painting left over in Chinese art history, reflecting the historical status of ethnic minorities. The study of Chinese minority painting creation has important practical significance. Contemporary minority-themed paintings present an unprecedented prosperity in China. Looking back on the reasons, it is not only politically influenced, but also promoted by cultural trends. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chinese artists have been spent on the study of ethnic minorities. Today, themes of Chinese minority paintings are still thriving, and some problems have also emerged. The article analyzes the performance characteristics of watercolor paintings of ethnic minorities and the issues that need to be paid attention to in the creation, hoping to promote the deepening and sublimation of the artistic value of watercolor paintings of ethnic minorities.
