The Crafts for Country Life –Case Study of Handmade Paper Mill in Lu Zhuang

Abstract

Based on the investigation of the manual paper mill in Luzhuang village, Yanggu County, Shandong Province, this paper reflects on the "Modernity" test of traditional rural handicrafts in modern times. While studying the transformation and change of rural handicrafts, we also pay attention to the life course of rural craftsmen behind the skills, expound the modern road of traditional handicrafts under the dual mechanism of market environment and policy power, to expand the research perspective on the transformation of local creation experience to modern design.
