Construction of Practical Teaching System of Fashion Design and Engineering Specialty Based on Feature Extraction Algorithm

Abstract

When the clothing design major was first set up in colleges and universities in China, the main teaching goal was to train applied talents in clothing, and it was highly recognized by various colleges and enterprises. Fashion design and engineering majors have strong practicality, and practical teaching not only occupies a high proportion in the whole professional teaching, but also plays a vital role. In this paper, based on feature extraction algorithm, a three-level and four-module practical teaching system of clothing “industrial chain” is constructed, so as to train applied innovative design talents to meet the needs of enterprises. Clothing image retrieval system based on feature extraction algorithm enables users to draw sketches and display the results in the system. With the trend that parametric design has been widely used in clothing production, it can reduce unnecessary repetitive operations of fashion designers and improve production efficiency.
