Abstract

Cultural heritage is the spiritual accumulation of a nation. A country's culture needs to play its role by protecting, displaying and disseminating its own cultural values. Museums carry the functions of collecting and displaying cultural heritage and conveying cultural knowledge to the public. However, the contradiction between huge exhibition demand and limited space is difficult to reconcile for a long time, and the traditional protection and Exhibition methods have obvious limitations. Augmented reality technology has the advantages of virtual reality fusion, real-time interaction and 3D registration, and has a bright future. Based on augmented reality technology, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the digital display form and communication elements of cultural heritage. This paper summarizes the communication strategy of cultural heritage digital display based on augmented reality and the design principles of Museum interactive experience. Based on the advantages of digital display and the necessity of its application, this paper introduces the “5W” mode of communication, analyzes the digital communication mode of cultural heritage and its participating elements, and summarizes the display communication strategies. Based on this, this paper carries out the design practice around the cultural resources of Jiangsu Museum. The experimental results show that the scheme can meet the technical requirements of Jiangsu Museum Cultural Resources Exhibition and digital inheritance.
