The Geography Talent Training Mode of Study Tour Tutors in Normal Universities

Abstract

The rapid development of the research and practice of study tour in China has given birth to the new profession of research study tour tutor and its new requirements for talent cultivation. The study tour tutor has the professional characteristics of multi-role and multi-responsibility and the dual professional attributes of the combination of teacher and tour guide, which can be divided into three types: curriculum type, management type and comprehensive type. The geography major in normal university has many favorable conditions to expand and cultivate the talents of study tour tutors. Starting from the six aspects of talent training objectives, courses, faculty, teaching materials, teaching methods and practice bases, the "geography +" talent training mode with study tour tutors' characteristics can be constructed.
