Analysis on Influencing Factors of Economic Forest Production of Peasant Households in Shandong Province

Abstract

Starting with the production efficiency of dry-fruit economic forest products, this paper probes the countermeasures on efficiency improvement of different economic forest products. To acquire relevant data, the author applies the results which scholars get in this field and visits experts to seek their professional advices on indicator selection. The descriptive statistical analysis is divided into two dimensions, basic characteristics of sample peasant households and basic characteristics of economic forest production. First of all, basic characteristics of sample peasant households include age of householder, educational level of householder, family population, family labor force, whether the household has public officials and whether has highly-educated workers. Secondly, basic characteristics of economic forest production include utilization of production technology, ways in management control, characteristics of planting plots, cost-benefit analysis and convenience of product market sales. At last, the paper offers some helpful policy suggestions.
