Abstract

The fourth industry revolution is known an industry 4.0, which was started in Germany and spread rapidly all over the world. Cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, robotics and automation are buzzing words in industry.4.0. The term big data is devoted to data which is mainly unstructured, terabytes or petabytes in size, creating in huge volume and velocity and also having characteristics of variability.  Big data is one of emerging technology which transforming businesses, helping industries to mark their milestones creating new paradigms in business management.  In the words of Balar et.al (2013) business organization are gaining competitive advantage through big data analytics.The purpose of this paper isto exposéfundamental concept of big data. exploration of big data analytics applicability and impact in  various domains of businesses  in industry 4.0.Furhter this paper also throw light about the security challenges associated with big data in industry 4.0.
