Cooperative Passenger Flow Control Model of URT Line Based on Harmony Search Algorithm

Abstract

To relieve the passenger flow pressure of urban rail transit(URT) in Beijing during commuting hours, it is necessary to formulate passenger flow control strategies. First, Analyze the passenger inflow distribution under different statistical target. Second, a cooperative passenger flow control approach of the URT line is proposed to minimize the total passengers waiting time on the line with the platform and train capacity as the constraints in the paper. Third, solve the passenger control model based on harmony search(HS) algorithm. Finally, verify the validity of the model through the auto fare collection(AFC) data during the commuting period of Beijing Batong Line. The results demonstrated that the model can reduce the total passengers waiting time as well as average passengers waiting time effectively.
