First-order Approximation Research of Oblique Incidence of Stress Wave Across a Single Joint
Abstract
The study of stress wave propagation in rock mass is an important subject of rock dynamics. For harmonic P-wave or S-wave oblique incidence, based on the plane wave vector displacement function and the method of first-order approximation, with the stress continuity condition and physical condition, the basic equations are derived. For the two dimensionless parameter, using the velocity sensor, the parameter determination method is proposed. When the parameters are special values, the basic equations degenerate to the solution of several classical problems, such as stress wave normal incidence, obliquely incident free surface or smooth rigid wall.
