Abstract

The paper analyzes the influencing factors of rural residents’ indirect energy conversation and their relationships by using regression analysis method and interpretive structural modeling (ISM) based on the survey data of rural residents in Jiangxi Province. The results show that Age, place of residence, energy saving intention, positive emotion, external control belief, energy saving policy implementation, energy saving information intervention and energy saving publicity activities have a significant impact on rural residents’ indirect daily energy saving behavior. Among them, age, place of residence, energy saving intention and energy saving publicity policy validity are the surface direct influencing factors, positive emotion of energy saving and external control belief are the intermediate and indirect factors, and energy saving information intervention and energy saving publicity activities are the deep root factors. Therefore, the cultivation and enhancement of rural residents’ positive energy saving emotion and the strengthening of indirect energy saving information education are helpful to guide rural residents’ indirect daily energy saving more effectively.
