Abstract

Mountain terrain has adverse effects on the seismic design of building structures. In order to establish a seismic damage prediction method for reinforced concrete frame structures that considers the adverse effects of mountain terrain, ground motion amplification factors for different types of mountain terrain are determined, then the seismic damage prediction method considering mountain terrain factors is proposed on the basis of ordinary methods of structural seismic damage prediction. Finally, the seismic damage example is used to verify the established earthquake damage prediction method. The relevant research results in this paper can provide theoretical references for seismic damage prediction or seismic vulnerability analysis of building structures in mountainous cities and towns.
