Abstract

At a certain ratio (mass ratio of 0%, 25%, 50%, 100%), natural sand is replaced by aeolian sand of the same quality in Qinghai Lake, Qinghai Province, China to prepare high strength concrete based on mix ratio design, with its workability measured; then it is made into specimens of different sizes of cubes, prisms, and cylinders, with its compressive strength and split tensile strength measured to determine the best replacement ratio of aeolian sand. The test results show that when the replacement ratio of aeolian sand is 25%, aeolian sand-prepared high-strength concrete has good workability to meet the construction requirements, with both compressive strength and tensile strength values of specimens of different sizes reaching the maximum. After further analysis of the test results, the mathematical relationship between the compressive strength of aeolian sand-prepared high-strength concrete cubes of different sizes, the mathematical relationship between axial compressive strength and compressive strength of the standard cube, and the mathematical relationship between tensile strength and compressive strength of the standard cube are established. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the design and application of aeolian sand-prepared high-strength concrete.
